Little Baddow Open Gardens | Saturday 27 May

Looking for a lovely day out during the Spring Bank Holiday weekend? If so, you need to travel no further than Little Baddow. Join for this traditional village event, with a wide variety of lovely gardens open for you to visit, from large sweeping landscapes (one designed by Humphrey Repton) with views over beautiful countryside to delightful small cottage gardens packed with flowers and vegetables. Little Baddow Open Gardens will be running on Saturday 27 May from 11am to 5pm.

Adults: £5 in advance, £6 on the day

NCSC outlines ways to protect against WannaCry ransomware

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has published guidance on how to protect IT systems from the ‘WannaCry’ ransomware.

The NCSC also says that its working with affected organisations and partners to investigate and coordinate the response in the UK, following the recent attack that hit the NHS.

From investigations and analysis performed to date, we know that the malware encrypts files, provides the user with a prompt which includes; a ransom demand, a countdown timer and bitcoin wallet to pay the ransom into.

Summer Solstice Stride | Thursday 22 June 2017

Join Heart and Sole on the evening of Thursday 22 June to celebrate the arrival of summer!

Their friendly and competent walk leaders will be guiding you along the rivers, through the parks of Chelmsford and into the sunset. Tailored to cater for the needs of varying abilities, there will be a choice between a 5km and a 10km route, each with a walk leader at the back to ensure that participants are free to walk at whatever pace they find comfortable.

Refreshments will be available at the end of the walk, upon return to the Lord Ashcroft Building, Anglia Ruskin University, where the route starts and finishes.
Meet from 6:30pm for a 7pm set-off.

Big Afternoon Tea

Join Meadow Croft Garden Centre for The Big Afternoon Tea on Thursday 1 June, in aid of the Lavender Trust, part of Breast Cancer Care. Come along for afternoon tea and the grand opening of their Lavendar Festival.

Essex Parent/Carers FREE SEN Information Sessions

Families InFocus (Essex) would like to invite you to a FREE SEN INFORMATION SESSION for Essex Parent Carers.

These are short relaxed sessions especially for Parent Carers to give you Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) information, resources and contacts to help you make the right choices for your Son/Daughter. The sessions are written, planned and delivered by a Parent Carer from within the trained Independent Support Team – Families InFocus (Essex) is proud to be the key delivery partner within the Independent Support Project for Essex. We hope you find these sessions useful in helping you plan for your Son/Daughter (or Young person you look after) with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.

The sessions will be taking place in Chelmsford on Wednesday 31 May at Chelmsford Moulsham Mill from 7:30pm – 9:00pm (Evening session) and on Thursday 6 July at Chelmsford Moulsham Millfrom 10:30am – 12noon
