BBC’s The One Show – Public Transport
The One Show is making a film looking at some of the issues people with disabilities face when using public transport including trains, trams, buses, taxis, the tube and planes. They are looking for people to record short videos on their phones or cameras when they genuinely encounter a problem; for example no help getting off transport (even though pre-booked); accessible toilets being out of order, luggage being left in spaces for wheelchair users or ‘talking’ signposts or buses not working etc.
Anyone interested in finding out more or sending a video can contact Laura Pennington on 0161 335 8902 or email@example.com.

Colne Community Builders Fund is now accepting applications
This Fund supports charitable projects and community organisations whose work enables people to live more independently.
There is a preference for smaller grants, for example under £5,000, and for groups that work in areas where Colne Housing operates – Babergh, Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Maldon, Tendring and Uttlesford.
An example of a project previously supported is Bright Lives, in Colchester, which was awarded £2,000 to train a regional Makaton Tutor to work with the adults who attend a day centre for people with Learning Difficulties.
Groups should call the ECF grants team on 01245 356018 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss their work in advance of applying. The deadline date is 31 July.
