A great opportunity to find out more about Islam and to meet Muslims face to face. The open day will provide an opportunity to:
- See what happens behind the doors at the mosques
- Engage in a discussion with local Muslims and check out the exhibits
- Enjoy some snacks and refreshments
- Have Muslims answer any questions you may have
- Discover how Muslims contribute to society
Along with Mosque Open Days Chelmsford Muslim Society continues to host visits from numerous schools, scout groups and other faith groups to promote a better understanding of the Islamic faith during a time of so much misinformation and maintain community cohesion, peace, harmony and goodwill between the various communities in our great City.
Join the Chelmsford Muslim Society on this prestigious day for some tea and cakes and maybe a samosa, and help ensure that the community of Chelmsford continues to stand and work together for the greater good.
Chelmsford Foodbank need a new van!
Over time the Chelmsford Foodbank have seen a steady increase in need for their services. Their van has been a vital resource in delivering food from their warehouse to their six distribution centres, and also in collecting large donations of food from the many schools, businesses and churches who support them. To mark their six year anniversary they are launching an appeal to replace their van due to its age and condition. They want to get our new van in place by mid September to help with the busiest time of the year, the harvest season.
Donating with give.net is really easy and completely secure. If you are a UK taxpayer, please confirm that you would like to reclaim Gift Aid on your donation. This will add 25p to every £1 you give. Thanks for your support!

Free family law advice on offer to the community
Anglia Ruskin University to launch Law Clinic next month on Chelmsford campus – watch out for further details!
Anglia Ruskin University is launching a new Law Clinic next month in Chelmsford, which will offer free legal advice to members of the public. The clinic will be part of the national Law Works network network and will be staffed by Anglia Ruskin Law students, who will be supported by solicitors from Tees Law in Chelmsford.
It will begin by offering family law advice on a fortnightly basis and will build on the success of the Law Clinic on Anglia Ruskin’s Cambridge campus, which was launched in May. In its first three months of operation the Cambridge centre provided free legal advice to 114 clients, worth over £10,000.
As well as offering an invaluable service to the local community – cuts in funding mean that few people now qualify for legal aid in family law cases – the Law Clinic will provide Anglia Ruskin Law students with real-life experience of interviewing clients, under the supervision of qualified solicitors.
