Celebrate the launch of Cinema for All Equipment Hire Scheme in Essex

We believe that community cinema brings people together! Come join us at the VIP launch of Cinema for All’s Equipment Hire Scheme in Essex.

Join us and City of Chelmsford Mencap on Saturday 27 October from 6pm at Chelmsford City Football Club for a screening of Shrek ©, a buffet supper and a disco.

Tickets cost just £8 per person or a family ticket (4 people) for £28. Fancy dress is encouraged!

A City Walk

Councillor Yvonne Spence, the Mayor of Chelmsford, invites you to take a city walk promoting physical and mental health to support the Mayors charities on Sunday 13 October.

There will be 10K and 5K circular walks to Writtle starting and finishing at Anglia Ruskin University. Walk leaders will guide you through Central Park under Waterhouse Lane (where the 5k turns back) to Writtle where the 10k turns back.

You can meet the walk leaders from 9.15am in the Lord Ashcroft Building of Anglia Ruskin University. The walk will leave promptly at 10 am. You can choose between a 5km or 10km route.

Drinks will be available at the finish courtesy of Anglia Ruskin University

There will be a fee of £5 which will be a donation to the Mayors Charity which this year will support Kids Inspire and the Mid Essex Hospitals Dementia Project

Esmee Fairbairn Foundation – Young People Leaving Care

The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation want to see care leavers supported by the system and by their networks, to feel emotionally stable and be financially secure, ultimately making a successful transition to independence.

Who can apply: Charitable organisations

There are no limits on grant size or length.

Funding could be for core or project costs, including staff salaries and overheads. Most support is likely to be in the form of grants, but social investments could be considered.

Applications can be made at any time.

Making (and sharing) videos doesn’t have to be scary! We carry in our pockets a tool which can be incredibly powerful if used in the right way. Join this free online workshop to learn the tips and tricks which will help start making your own videos which look good, have a clear purpose, and get results.

The workshop will take place on Zoom, a free online conference website, which will work with most computers. You can also call in on the phone to take part, but we would encourage everyone to use a webcam where possible.
