Inter Faith Youth Trust Grants for Inter Faith Week Events

The Trust is providing a Small Grants Programme for events in the UK which are organised by and for young people and focused around the annual Inter Faith Week which will take place 12 – 19 November 2017.

UK based organisations are eligible to apply, and priority will be given to projects that are run by non-statutory organisations, including youth clubs, scout and guide groups, and local voluntary and community organisations.

Greggs Foundation’s Local Community Projects Fund

Projects must show how they would achieve the following:

  • Decreased social isolation.
  • Improved health and wellbeing
  • Improved resilience/coping mechanisms.
  • Improved life skills.
  • Improved opportunities

Any not for profit organisation can apply. However, larger organisations with a turnover in excess of £300,000 are unlikely to be successful.

The Foundation is more likely to make grants to organisations based near Greggs shops

Maximum Grant: Up to £2,000. Deadline: 29 September 2017

Marvels of Mid Awards

Ways to improve Maths and English Skills

Good maths or reading and writing skills can make your life better and will give you extra confidence.

Courses are run at all levels throughout the year and are free to applicants who don’t currently hold a level 2 or above in the relevant subject.

Rugby for the “Not So Young”

You don’t stop training when you get old, you get old when you stop training.

Why not try to keep active by taking part in Walking Rugby sessions. These are being held at Drapers Farm Sports Ground in Maldon every Wednesday in August.

Free Discovering Nature Event for the Whole Family

Friends of Hoppit Mead Nature Reserve invite you to join them on 2nd September at Marshalls Park, London Road, Braintree between 10am and 2pm.

Activities include mini-beast hunting, willow craft, bird and butterfly spotting.

Bring your own refreshments and suitable clothing for the weather conditions.
