Why. Essex County Council and NHS groups are working together to better identify and support people who look after family or friends. The range of support is as varied as people who help others from information and signposting, to respite care or sitting services. To help us shape our plans, we need your honest views. What. A short, anonymous online survey will help us build a picture of caregiving in Essex so we can plan for your needs. We know you have little time so we've kept it short and it will take 10 minutes. Your views however will have an impact for years to come. Please complete the survey by 21st December 2018 at essex.gov.uk/caregivers if you don't have internet access call 01273 704502 to request a paper survey.

Applications are invited from existing schemes to trial a new approach to helping children and young people. The deadline for applications is midday on Friday 15 February 2019.

Projects should:

  • have strong local connections already in place
  • be delivered by the VCSE sector

Safety for Lone Workers

22 January 2019
9:30 am – 1:00 pm

Working alone carries specific personal safety risks. Health and Safety law requires employers to assess these risks and to take steps to avoid or control risks where necessary. Employees too have a responsibility to take reasonable care of themselves and others affected by their work.
