Dancing Giraffe was proud to take part in the hugely successful Fling Festival in Hylands Park in Chelmsford at the end of June. Dubbed ‘the festival of Assorted Amusements for adults only’, the festival’s packed schedule brought together acrobats, musicians, artists, and dancers, to celebrate music and the arts in Essex. Dancing Giraffe was privileged to support the festival for the second year running.
This year’s festival boasted a number of disabled performers, including Reg Web, a blind keyboard player and singer, and Lizzie B, a folk singer and guitarist.
Visitors to the festival also enjoyed performances from Peter Brame of Fame Academy, folk musician Lizzie B, Debbie Baisden, a comedian as her stage alter ego Dolly Slatemen, dance troupe Brazilian Fantasy, two comediennes, stilt walkers, and music bands Skamite, Total 80’s and Spin – the latter band having travelled all the way from Braintree, having settled there from Sweden to boost their music profile in this country!
