Southend Older People’s Assembly has launched its new website: olderpeoplesassemblysouthend.co.uk

The new site is easier to use and includes more information about how to become a member of the Older People’s Assembly and dates of forthcoming Public Meetings.  Back copies of the “Assembly Times” the Assembly’s magazine can also be found, as well as a photo gallery of Active Ageing, our annual event held in the Victoria Centre.

Launching the new website Mike Grimwade, Chairman of the Assembly, said “we hope our new and improved website becomes a useful reference point for the over 55’s, their families and carers in the Southend area.  We also hope it will encourage new people to come along to the Assembly’s Public Meetings which are held quarterly at the Civic Centre, Southend.  As we continue to develop the website we intend to include relevant and useful information that will be of interest to our members and visitors to the site”.

The website has been developed by the Older People’s Assembly’s own committee members with the assistance and advice of Eduardo Martinez, a volunteer recommended by SAVS.  Without Eduardo’s guidance the Assembly’s new website would not have been possible.

Note: the “old” site will remain active for a while with a link to the new site.
