With the Premier League and Championship taking this weekend off, Non-League football clubs all over the country are putting on offers and initiatives to encourage people to come and watch a Non-League football game this Saturday (7th October). Now in its eighth year, the boost in attendances and revenue seen on Non-League Day can provide clubs in the lower ends of the football pyramid with vital funds.

Matches in the region this weekend include:

Bowers & Pitsea vs Dereham Town

Chelmsford City vs Eastbourne Borough

Heybridge Swifts vs Carshalton Athletic

This year, Prostate Cancer UK is the official charity partner to Non-League Day and clubs will be running various fundraising initiatives during their matches. Bowers & Pitsea are one such club and will be collecting money for the charity throughout their match against Dereham Town.

If you’re interested in watching a match this Non-League Day then you can read about the facilities that clubs in Essex have for disabled spectators on the sports section of our website.

Not in the Essex area this weekend? Then try the match finder on the Non-League Day website. The Level Playing Field website also contains accessibility information for clubs all over the country.
