A spokes person for Chelmsford Area Access Group said

“A new validation procedure for Blue Badges has been introduced and signs with instructions have been erected in the Blue Badge holders areas stating the process to follow for payment/exit.

The new procedure is :-

• Blue badge holder goes to the exit barrier with their ticket .
• Press the buzzer on the machine and show their blue badge and
ticket to the screen.
• The control room officer will from this information issue
a charge against the ticket if necessary depending on the
length of stay.

Additional signage have been erected in well- appointed visible positions at the entrances to Levels 1 and 4, and the Parking Services website has been updated with the new procedure.”

Please make yourself familiar with the new system and enjoy your shopping and parking experience in Chelmsford.
