Colchester Castle To Host Family Friendly Sleepover!

Are you brave enough to sleepover at Colchester Castle? Knightzzz at the Museum on the 20 October offers the opportunity to spend the night in the Castle, one of the countries most visited tourist attractions. Oktoberfest is returning for a second year on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 October for a weekend of traditional Bavarian entertainment, food, drink and fun. Taking place at Lower Castle Park inside what is set to be one of Europe’s largest bier tents!

Halloween in Colchester

Get Halloween ready with a half term session of spooky skull crafting. Head to Hollytrees Museum on Tuesday 23 October and join one of the sessions running throughout the morning. For those who fancy more of a scare head to Colchester Castle on the 31 October for an evening of amateur ghost busters with High Spirits! WW1 Centenary Events

During 2018 Colchester are joining forces with the rest of the country by staging various events, exhibitions and concerts to mark this milestone. Find out about the role Colchester played in the war effort and the stories of those that went overseas to fight in a stunning temporary exhibition at Colchester Castle.

Coming Up Next Month

The 2018 King Coel’s Kittens firework display in Castle Park, Colchester will be held on Monday November 5th. Tickets will be available to purchase from the Mercury Theatre Box Office, or in person from the Vistor Information Centre in Hollytrees Museum. Tickets must be booked in advance, there will be no ticket sales on the gate.
