To be the Finance Director for a Community Interest Company called Dancing Giraffe CIC supporting the team to deliver the mission, vision, aims and values of the Company, that supports disabled people, their care network, and their families. The job will entail providing sound financial advice to the CEO, Directors and other senior management team members. You will need to provide an efficient financial management service to Dancing Giraffe CIC and any subsidiaries, and act as the leading interface between management and Directors on financial matters. You will need to be able to work within a team and as part of a team to help deliver a much needed communication service.
You will need the following skills and qualifications: Professional accountancy qualification; Substantial management experience, which has included evaluating, and improving organisational performance and planning, implementing and managing change; Substantial experience of strategic financial planning and financial management; A track record of inspiring and leading others, particularly during times of change. Experience of prioritising and scheduling events, activities and resources; Establishing procedures for monitoring progress against plans and objectives; Demonstrates a broad strategic view of the issues affecting Dancing Giraffe CIC’s customers; A quick learner who can absorb the complexities of Dancing Giraffe CIC and assimilate its culture;Proven ability to motivate and empower people at all levels; Enthusiastic and committed, ensuring delivery of objectives; Demonstrate an ability to display interest in other’s opinions and be sympathetic and tolerant of differing needs and viewpoints; Proven ability to produce written communication that is fluent, clear, concise, and tailored to intended recipients; Awareness of own development needs evidenced by continuous professional development and established professional networking;
The role is currently part time but will increase as Dancing Giraffe CIC grows.
All posts are on a voluntary basis although at some point in the future we would be looking to make the posts permanent.
