After three and a half years of inspiring and progressive leadership, the Chief Executive (CE) of Hertfordshire Society for the Blind (HSB) is moving on to a new post with a national Charity and the Board are seeking an outstanding replacement.
Hertfordshire Society for the Blind (HSB) was founded in 1915 and is highly regarded for its professional and caring approach by service users, partner organisations and funding agencies.
Based in Welwyn Garden City, HSB employ 6 staff.
The ideal candidate will be a strong visionary leader and team player with good interpersonal and communication skills. You should have empathy and understanding of the needs of people with a visual impairment and a passion and commitment to develop and expand our services. Experience of tendering for contracted services is desirable as is a track record of success in managing a service-orientated organisation.
Salary Band: £30,000 per annum
Reporting To: Board of Directors
Hours: 30 hours per week, over four days, Monday to Friday. Working hours will be flexible, in line with Charity’s Flexible Working Arrangements Policy and include occasional meetings and events out of normal office times, including weekends.
